What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It is a
type of web feed that is used to deliver news and information
real-time across the World Wide Web. If you use any of the latest
web browsers (such as
Internet
Explorer 7, Netscape
8, or AOL
Explorer 1.5), or if you are a user of
MSN, AOL,
Yahoo! or
Google, you can have Factor X
team news delivered straight to your desktop ... no waiting, and no
having to check factorxbowling.com over and over just to see if any
new articles have been posted!
If you are new to RSS, you may wish to read the
concise
RSS FAQ from PC World.
Special note to
MSN users: Factorxbowling.com has determined that, while My MSN does
in fact accept RSS news sources, there appears to be a problem with
MSN's RSS aggregator (which monitors for new content and updated
feeds). While MSN users will not experience trouble setting up the
Factor X Team News feed, the feed may not update properly.
This is not the result of a problem with the news feed itself, but a
problem internal to MSN.
MSN users
interested in subscribing to the Factor X Team News feed should
check out some of Microsoft's newest offerings, including
Internet
Explorer 7.0 and Microsoft's newest customizable web portal
site, live.com. Both these
offerings offer the absolute latest and greatest in terms of their
ability to work with RSS feeds. |
